The Bioinformatics Research Group (BioInG) at the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) at King Saud University (KSU) is pleased to welcome you to the first Bioinformatics Scientific Meeting (BioSM-KSU) in Riyadh. The BioInG is an established research group at CCIS.
The aim of this event is to promote the area of bioinformatics among faculty, researchers, and students. The event will include sessions by experienced researchers in the filed of Bioinformatic. There will be invited speakers from national and international institutions: KAUST, KFSHRC, PNU, DU (in KSA), and UOttawa (in Canada). The event is an opportunity to exchange ideas and to provide a forum to present the work of undergraduate and postgraduate students in bioinformatics and related areas.
A poster competition will take place during the event. Graduate and undergraduate students are all invited to submit posters in Bioinformatics and relevant areas. Participants choose from the suggested list of papers. In addition, participants can present posters from papers of their choice. Poster will be reviewed for relevance.

• Sequence Analysis • Big Data and Next Generation Sequencing • Meta-genomics • Medical applications of bioinformatics • Microarray Data Analysis The event is funded by: the National Plan for Science and technology (NPST) (Project No. 12-BIO2605- 02) and BioInG. The Bioinformatics Research Group (BioInG) is pleased to welcome you to the first Choose, Post and Win competition. The BioInG is an established research group at the College of Computer and Information Sciences (CCIS), King Saud University.
The aim of this competition is to promote the area of bioinformatics among faculty, researchers, and students. It is an opportunity to exchange ideas and to provide a forum to present the work of undergraduate and graduate students and faculty in bioinformatics and related areas. The competition is funded by: BioInG and the National Plan for Science and technology (NPST).
Who
Graduate and undergraduate students, lecturers and TAs, and researchers are participating with posters in Bioinformatics and relevant areas. Posters will be reviewed for relevance.Choose
